Alpine Puts on Christmas Parade of Lights & Snow Festival

That glow in the eastern foothills is the 15th annual Alpine Village Christmas Parade of Lights & Snow Festival getting ready in Alpine. This year the night parade will turn Alpine Boulevard into another shimmering fantasy land on Dec. 3, thanks to the Alpine Mountain Empire Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Alpine Community Center. Anyone can parade down the community’s main street in the traditional holiday extravaganza.  The only parade requirement is that all entries — family pet, lawn tractor, bike, floats — must be trimmed with holiday lights. There are no prizes or entry fees. Just get in line with Santa Claus and everyone else at 6 p.m. on West Victoria Drive at Alpine Boulevard. The parade steps off at 6:30 p.m., headed toward the free Snow Festival at the Alpine Community Center, 1830 Alpine Blvd. Call the Chamber office at (619) 445-2722 or visit alpinechamber.com to participate or get more information.
