I have to agree that the Obama administration has definitely been paying more attention to making sure that small businesses have opportunities to earn government contracts compared to many recent presidential administrations. I know that as an employee of a small business that my company was reluctant to invest time and money on earning a GSA Schedule to make our products and services available to the federal government, but it's actually helped us increase our revenue substantially. Just don't make the mistake of trying to do the GSA application on your own, it's 250+ pages and there's a ton of govspeak and jargon. We hired a private consulting firm specializing in GSA Schedule services to assist us with our application (EZGSA) and they were excellent and professional.
